About Abbey Harman

Abbey Harman

Associate Attorney
Associate Attorney Abbey Harman is a Martinsburg, West Virginia native. Growing up as the daughter of a plaintiff’s attorney, she always knew she wanted to be the kind of lawyer that fought against insurance companies and other corporations – not for them. Abbey attended West Virginia University as a Presidential Scholar and member of the Honors College, and was a Division I student athlete as well as the Assistant to the University’s Director of International Programs. After completing her degree in English Literature in three years, she moved on to West Virginia University College of Law, where she was a member of the Women’s Leadership Council and an executive of the college’s Student Bar Association.

During her second year of law school, Abbey moved to Baltimore to work for Nick Parr, gaining valuable professional guidance and work experience while attending her classes remotely. Upon returning to WVU’s campus for her third year of law school, she was certified by the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia to practice law as a member of the WVU College of Law Veteran’s Law Clinic. Over the following year, she represented West Virginia Veterans pro bono in their pursuits of discharge upgrades and disability benefits.

After graduating law school, Abbey began her career as a plaintiff’s attorney in West Virginia’s state capitol of Charleston. While in Charleston, she focused her practice on sexual assault and sexual abuse litigation, representing men and women against churches, hospitals, schools, and other institutions. In addition to her representation of victims of sexual assault and abuse, Abbey has also worked extensively in multiple mass tort litigations. She has managed hundreds of mass tort claims against the federal government and corporations such as Monsanto, Johnson & Johnson, 3M, Cook Medical, and more. Over the past three years, Abbey has traveled across the country to collaborate with large-scale plaintiff’s firms and learn from legendary litigators in order to ensure her clients’ access to the best resources and representation. In 2025, she was selected by The National Trial Lawyers organization as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer.

Abbey is very excited to be back in her favorite city in the world, Baltimore! When she is not in the office, she spends her time exploring the city with her dog, Gene. Abbey looks forward to giving each client of the Law Offices of Nicholas A. Parr the quality representation they deserve.
